This intrepid little recruit is a promising panatela which, given time for cultivation, can grow in character. Tightly wrapped and petit, it’s the short pause amidst sustained fire – a chance to survey the landscape and build morale on a day of action. This is no commanding officer, and carries no regalia aside from the customary gold F band but, on point of service, it’s a solid sergeant on a tour of duty. For the modern-day militia-man up for promotion.
